Not dead yet?

Did you score more than 8/10 on the introductory poll? Or did you finish all the previous exercises? Do you still have some time? Are you not dead yet? Then you're on the right page! Follow the instructions underneath!

What's the plan?

If you followed this DLP correctly then you have just finished the Endgame task. Now, you're going to promote the game you have just explained to your peer. To keep up with the digital times we live in, we'll promote the game via a (fictitious) Instagram post. You will create this Instagram post with a website called 'Canva'.

How do I work with Canva?

Not everyone has already worked with Canva. To show you the way on this website, you can listen to this video. This video will show you how to get started! Do you have any other questions? Raise your hand and I will come to help you!

What do you need to bear in mind?

Bear in mind that you have to ...

  • Use at least 3 different modal verbs in your Instagram post.
  • Include at least 1 picture of the game in your Instagram post.
  • Be creative!

One step at a time

STEP 1: Look at the Endgame task. Which game have you explained to your peer?

STEP 2: Listen to the video that explains how you have to work with Canva.

STEP 3: Go to Canva.com and choose your favourite template.

STEP 4: Create your Instagram post to promote the game. Be creative!

STEP 5: Ready? Take a screenshot of your Instagram post.

STEP 6: Upload the screenshot on Smartschool. Go to the upload zone, then to 'modal verbs' and click on 'Instagram post.'

STEP 7: Go to Instagram-able!

Instagram-able?

Are your Instagram posts also Instagram-able? Let's take a look at each other's work. Find a peer who has also completed the Instagram post. Discuss the following questions with each other.

  • Which modal verbs did the pupil use?
  • Did you use those modal verbs as well? Why or why not?
  • Does the Instagram post have an attractive lay-out?
  • Does the message the writer wants to convey come across clearly?
  • Rate this Instagram post out of 10.
